THE STORY
Outgrowing infrastructure limits.
THE STARTING POINT
CM Labs develops advanced simulation solutions for high-risk industries, with workloads that are graphics-intensive, compute-heavy, and continuously evolving. As demand for their platform grew, their existing server and storage infrastructure began to approach capacity, leading to performance constraints and inefficiencies.
At the same time, misalignment between compute and storage environments created bottlenecks, while procurement and vendor management added unnecessary complexity. The organization needed to upgrade its infrastructure to support current and future workloads, while ensuring a balanced architecture, cost clarity, and ongoing support from a trusted partner.
THE CHALLENGE
-
Capacity Constraints
Existing infrastructure struggled to support growing workload demands. -
Uneven Infrastructure Performance
Misalignment between server and storage environments leading to bottlenecks and inefficiencies. -
Need for Expert Guidance
Looking for a strategic IT partner to handle both architecture design and procurement. -
Cost Clarity & Support
Needed a simplified, transparent approach to upgrades and vendor management.
THE SOLUTION
-
Assess & Right-Size
Evaluated application workloads and capacity requirements to define a right-sized infrastructure aligned to current performance needs and future growth. -
Balanced Architecture
We developed a cohesive infrastructure design aligning compute, storage, and networking components to eliminate bottlenecks and improve efficiency. -
Deploy Core Infrastructure
Implemented Dell PowerEdge servers and storage arrays to deliver high-performance, scalable infrastructure capable of supporting simulation workloads. -
Simplify & Support Operations
Established backup with Veeam, coordinated vendor engagement, and introduced ongoing support to streamline management and ensure long-term stability.
TECHNOLOGIES INVOLVED
THE IMPACT
Balancing compute & storage.
Optimized
Performance
Eliminated infrastructure bottlenecks, enabling efficient simulation workloads.
Scalable
Capacity
Increased storage and compute capacity to support continued business growth.
Data
Protection
Implemented structured backup and recovery to ensure operational continuity and minimize risk.
Simplified
it
Streamlined procurement, support, and vendor coordination through Quadbridge.
“Without Quadbridge, it would be way more difficult to buy the equipment we needed. They not only helped us with the purchase but also worked as a liaison between our company and Dell, answering questions and following up the steps in the whole process.”
